Open Seam
If you want to make a soft seam press both seam allowance to opposite sides (open). Open seam is used also for sewing items of leather.

Organza
This fairly stiff and transparent fabrics that is used for sewing curtains and lush skirts.

Oscillating Shuttle Hook
Before buying a new sewing machine you need to know some differences in features between other models of sewing machines. One feature that has a main role is a shuttle hook system (rotary and oscillating). Most of old sewing machines and some modern models have vertical oscillating shuttle hook system.

Overlock Sewing Machine

Overcast stitch
A hand stitch that wraps around an edge of fabric like a spiral.

Quilted Fabric
Quilted fabric is most used for sewing blankets. Quilted fabric can be easy way to make insulated lining for jackets and coats.
